Brad + Britt Engagement Session by Roohi Photography

 Our new friends at Roohi Photography shot these fabulous 1950's vintage-inspired engagement photos of our clients Brad and Brittany! I must admit, they are one of my most favorite couples. I'm slightly biased considering I've known Brittany's parents for over 25 years.  I remember just like it was yesterday, her mother proudly showing off a ton of pictures Brittany and her brother when they were just a babies when we worked as telephone operators 20 years ago. I distinctly remember how completely honored I was when Brittany contacted me after she and Brad were engaged during the Christmas holidays in 2010. She texted me a picture of her engagement ring with the caption, " I'm engaged! You have to help me plan my wedding!" I responded, "Of course!" So as we round out these last months before their December wedding, I get a little sentimental when I look at these gorgeous photos. I wonder whether it's because Britt is all grown up or I'm just getting older. Nope. That's not it at all...I'm just happy.

Weddings in Springtime

     Spring weddings always bring a delightful hopefulness to the season. First of all, warmer weather is always a plus. The bright and airy colors of the season always make me smile more and more with each day. Pinks, whites, purples, peaches, yellows and greens… Oh my!  So from April to early June, which signals to the start of summer the outdoor world comes alive with weddings. Springtime is a time for renewal and celebration. Flowers bloom and everyone (even animals) come out to enjoy the beauty of the season.

Real Wedding: Sandy & Sonny {East Indian Inspiration}

It's always been a dream of mine to design an East Indian themed wedding. I was researching (as usual) and came across Sandy and Sonny's July 4-5, 2009 wedding in WedLuxe Magazine. I hope you find it as inspiring as I did. Enjoy!

A Shabby Chic/Southern Wedding

I love theme weddings! How about a Shabby Chic Wedding with a Southern feel. Look at this wedding designed by Beth Helmstetter Events at the Hotel Bel Air. The magnolia branches and faux magnolia "trees" decorated the spaces along with pink and cream roses, hydrangeas, and tiny pink rose sprays in silver vases and mint julep cups. It's all in the details is what I say! One of the highlights are the antique silver serving trays used to display the escort cards.
